Kilt Class 2025
I taught my first kilt class in 2023. I can’t wait to teach another class in 2025. 2024 was a big year with settling into the mountain life. We love it here in the mountains.
I am hoping to offer a class at the Laurel Community Center, Marshall, NC. Timing… either late June, mid-July or the end of September. The community center has a great facility right near a babbling creek and it has some nature trails as well; for when you need a respite from kiltmaking.
Learning with others is a great experience. Encouraging words from strangers (life-long friends you haven’t met yet) can help you through it.
Most people will get pretty far along in the kilt process by the end of the week. I have seen some finish sooner and some take two camps to finish one kilt. It’s a place for tartan lovers to be together and learn together.
I am so thankful for my mentor, Judith Sullivan, and for all those in my kiltmaking family! I am so happy to be able to pass this knowledge on to others. Thank you for your encouragement and support!
